response to chelsea posts
I enjoyed reading her posts they seem to be a lot about gender roles. Like watching drunk girls at bars or girls throwing themselves on guys. I find that funny but very true. After her post about that I started to observe more than I used to when I was out. When I go to the gym as well I sweat a ton. I know its supposed to not be lady like but I know I work out to get in shape not to look good doing it. You go to the gym to work on your fitness not to look pretty and check out the boys. So so what about how much you sweat! I like how all her posts have a theme! It was interesting to look at gender roles from many views!
my last post
This summer session and class has been a great experience for me! I honestly never thought I would like to write again after my freshmen English class. This class allowed me to write what I wanted to write and I think thats what I enjoyed the most. I also like how we had a very diverse class it was very interesting to listen to classmates personal experiences. Now whenever I see them outside of class I won't just be like O they were in one of my classes. They were in my junior comp. class and I will be able to remember there stories they shared with us. That is one major thing I really liked about this class being able to open up and free write about whatever I want and not what someone tells me I have to. I enjoyed this class and I am excited to have you as my women gender studies teacher in a few weeks!

my weekend home
I am definitely a home body! I think it doesn't help that I am the youngest and also the favorite. When I am home I miss school and when I am at school I miss home. I guess that is just apart of growing up finding that time in your life when you do not need to go home but for me its doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon. On came home on Thursday afternoon and my sister enter me in this kickball tournament with her friends. I haven't played kickball in years it was so much fun! I want to get a group of people to do it at school or they should have an intramural for it! Then on Friday I went shopping with my mom and a movie. I saw stupid crazy love! It was such a great movie I highly recommend it!!! It was not just a chick flick either so if you need a date idea this is a good compromise! I do not want to say anything about it but Ryan Gosling in it TO DIE FOR!!! He is so cute :) Then on Saturday I got my haircut which is always a treat! I love the feeling after and how healthy your hair feels after. I always feel like I can be in an herbal essence commercial. After that I went on the Loveland bike trail by my house with my sister. This bike trail is huge its over 200 miles long and goes into Kentucky ( i am from Cincinnati). We could only do about 20 miles and then after that my butt hurt so bad we could barely walk. Then today I had brunch with my dad and went to the driving range! Its so hard to say goodbye my mom cries still every time I leave. I did have fun but I sure did miss Athens. I will always have a place for both towns in my heart!

Pool Time
This weekend I went to Athens Community pool. It is free for OU students when you show your student id on Saturdays and Sundays. Let me tell you it is such a great time! Most girls don't even like to go in the water but I love going off the diving board but not only do they have that they have a rock wall! This rock wall isn't super high but its totally awesome. Its hard I just made it to the top today for the first and only time! I am so proud! Rock climbing is hard to begin with but it doesn't help when its all wet from all the water and have sun tan lotion on it. If you have not try it I highly recommend going its so fun! I go with my new neighbors and you laugh for hours watching people do it. Little kids are better at climbing the rock wall, but I still find it challenging. They have smaller hands and feet to stick in the rocks. There is also a mini slide there too! If you are ever bored on a Saturday or Sunday I would definitely go!

new volunteering experience
Recently I have starting volunteering at Mountain River Physical Therapy on East State Street. I am looking into going to physical therapy school after I get my undergrad in exercise physiology. I have never gotten serious injuried like broken a bone, sprained or strained anything, stitches or even a bloody nose (knock on wood) so its really cool to work with people we have unfortunately experience these kinds of injuries. Mountain River is known as being the sports and spine specialists but they really work with all kinds of people and injuries. I have yet to observe anyone under 12 yet but I have only been there for 2 weeks. The most intense case I have seen is a teenager who was in a car accident and broke her hip and knee. She had to have surgery and re learn how to walk again. It's really a great feeling seeing patients progress even though I didn't do it but one day I will. I got to try the e stem machine on myself to help explain to patients how its supposed to feel because you don't want it to hurt just to feel strong. I also got to put para-fin on my hand. Its a warm wax that warms your hand to the muscles and bones for people who hurt there hands or fingers. That felt really cool and makes your hand feels good after. My future goals is to keep learning more and maybe they will let me be more involved with the patients. Eventually I would love to observe pediatric physical therapy because I love kids. I am currently in between sports physical therapy and pediatric physical therapy, but who knows I still have a long time for schooling because physical therapy is a doctorate program now. This year I plan on joining physical therapy club and want to be involved more with campus activities. Maybe in the future get my personal training certification as well. I always seem to make to many goals for myself but this year I really want to take action!

1st Post!
I have never blogged before this is my first one. It's kind of interesting and I am not sure on what to write about. I had to get a blog for my english class. So far I enjoy this english class it is MUCH better than my freshmen english class. I hated my freshmen english class. However in this class my teacher lets you express yourself get everything out there. I love her passion for writing and how she seems to really listen and want to know what you think. It's very refreshing and she is very involved with the class. I like the topics we have talked about in our class. They really make you think like the advertisement video we watched. I never thought about how ads were represented that much until now. I would mainly just be like that is a nice ad or I do not like that one or they need more clothes on. The only time I really questioned an ad was if I didn't quite understand what they were advertising.
Today I am going to Walmart then Big Lots. I bought a new couch for my apartment and have to make sure they got the shipment today and someone will deliver it. I have to get someone who works there to deliver it because they do not ship items to houses. They tried to direct me to a shipping company to take care of it but they wanted over a 100 dollars to move something less than a mile. I think that is ridiculous! So I asked a worker there and he said one of his fellow coworkers does it under the table. I have to go find him today. Hopefully it all works out! Then I am going to Walmart to return a table I bought. Nothing exciting for me but with my friend we are making skyline chili dip! It's not the same as back home but it will do! Then tomorrow I am leaving for Columbus to stay with my roommate! Well that's all for now!
